Ventura Wine Trail Tours

Ventura Wine Trail Tours, Ventura, California

Wine, Wine, Everywhere!

Press Release issued 21 August, 2009, by Ann Flower Communications

(Ventura, CA) – Ventura County has long been known as a wine lover’s paradise thanks to the plethora of wine bars located there. Now the Ventura Visitors and Convention Bureau is making it easier for visitors to discover all the great and off the beaten path local wineries and cellars in the area on its new Wine Trail Tours.

Offered on Saturday and Sunday, the Ventura County Wine Trail Tour introduces guests to local boutique vintners and award-winning wines. Participants visit tasting rooms and meet the wine makers while taking in the beautiful scenery and historic locations.

“These are boutique wineries and cellars, many offering exclusive small batch wines that can’t be purchased anywhere but on the Central Coast,” says Kathleen Fitzgerald, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ventura Visitors and Convention Bureau. “Meeting the winemakers and experiencing the winemaking process firsthand, plus the history of the area, makes this not your typical wine tour.”

Saturday and Sunday offer a different tour itinerary, so patrons can spend the whole weekend enjoying the local viniculture scene.

Saturday Itinerary

Camarillo Custom Crush – Bring your grapes and your creativity because at this winery, patrons can custom design their own wine.

Bella Victorian Vineyard - Specializes in small releases of estate wines and luxury wines that are elegant, well balanced and cuisine compatible.

Cantara Cellars – Began as a small winemaking hobby in the garage of Mike and Chris Brown's home which has now culminated with the opening of a public tasting room. Offers behind-the-scenes experience and barrel tests, which give patrons a real feeling of ownership in the wine.

Rancho Ventavo Cellars – A small family-owned business that starting making wine out of their home is now producing 2000 cases of exquisite reds.
