Historic Pierpont Inn, Ventura, California

PIERPONT INN HISTORY The Pierpont Inn was opened by Josephine Pierpont in 1910, built partly to offer accommodation to the first motorists driving the embryonic Pacific Coast Highway. Its Oceanside setting made it immediately popular, and it has since become a favorite venue for weddings, family get-togethers and corporate getaways, as well as vacationing travelers.
PIERPONT INN ACCOMMODATION This historic Inn has 77 rooms, 8 regular suites and several specialty suites, including old cottages, the Austen Pierpont Suite with whirlpool tub and ocean views, and the fun of the 1950s Flat for those who like the retro look. PIERPONT INN FACILITIES The Inn offers an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, Austen's, where diners can enjoy stunning sunsets and ocean views while sampling the Californian cuisine. See some reviews of Austen's from diners who have eaten there recently at Ventura.com. The Pierpont Day Spa, with pool, offers full-body massages, aromatherapy and their own speciality treatments like the chocolate body wrap. Guests are also provided with access to the Pierpont Racquet Club, which has 12 championship tennis courts, racquet ball and squash courts, indoor and outdoor pool, spa, sauna, and fitness and weight training.

PCH Hotels Guide

To help you in choosing your Pacific Coast Highway hotel, guesthouse, inn, bed-and-breakfast, resort, motel or other accommodations, we've prepared our Pacific Coast Highway Hotels Guide ebook. In it we do mini-reviews of accommodations along the Highway, from Seattle to San Diego, through Washington, Oregon, and California.
For the 2011 edition we added new hotels, including a special 50-hotel section covering California’s wine country of Napa, Sonoma, and Paso Robles - by far the most popular diversion from the PCH drive. In all there are over 200 hotels listed, complete with 8 pages of color maps showing the towns where our recommended hotels can be found. There are both alphabetical and geographical indexes, helping you plan your journey.
We also include color photos of all the hotels that are our Personal Favorites. Here's the link to read more about our ebook guide to Pacific Coast Highway hotels
